Help Thames Ditton and Weston Green celebrate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday with the planting of 100 trees in gardens and sites across the locality. Just one of the initiatives of the fifth Thames Ditton & Weston Green ‘Nature & Climate Festival’, held over three days in October. It gives everyone a chance to focus on our local surroundings and learn about living more sustainably. Activities already planned include: A screening of the short documentary ‘People’s Emergency Briefing’, a must-see film about the climate crisis; A special exhibition by Elmbridge Museum – view some of the amazing collection held by the museum; Making your Garden a Haven for Birds; Why My Carbon Footprint Matters, a painting competition for all ages as well as a special session of the Repair Café. Launched in March, the now monthly Repair Shop is an opportunity to save household items from landfill. For more information go to www.TDnature.org
