Title: Dom Raab - Meeting 22 April VF Hall Post by: Highways Contact on April 02, 2014, 01:25:31 PM "In addition to my local surgery, I regularly hold local public meetings across the constituency. The idea is to make myself as accessible as possible, and ensure I can hear your views. I have held 31 since the 2010 election, and am planning my latest round in April, as follows:
• Tuesday 22 April – Vera Fletcher Hall, 4 Embercourt Road, Thames Ditton, KT7 0LQ All meetings start at 7.30pm and will last up to 2 hours. I hope to see as many residents there as possible. Good for him. Sadly, I will be abroad. Title: Re: Dom Raab - Meeting 22 April VF Hall Post by: Juninho on April 02, 2014, 02:00:30 PM Ah thanks for posting that!
I will try and go to this - and perhaps I can raise the trains as an isssue? That said - I have to say I think his current list of local 'priorities' as listed on his website are in my view of higher importance and relevance than the issue of the trains which I believe there is very little we can achieve unless SW trains do not perform to the charter... and we can prove this... I'm still hoping to go along but looking like its 50/50 on whether or not I'll make it! Title: Re: Dom Raab - Meeting 22 April VF Hall Post by: Juninho on April 23, 2014, 10:52:48 AM Did anyone make this and have some feedback they can report on?
Sadly I couldn't make it myself in the end. Title: Re: Dom Raab - Meeting 22 April VF Hall Post by: Keith on April 23, 2014, 04:11:27 PM Nor could I. I'd be interested to know what transpired - anyone?
Title: Re: Dom Raab - Meeting 22 April VF Hall Post by: rytheman on April 27, 2014, 04:39:32 PM There were quite a few people there.
Mr. Raab is a very good and relaxed speaker. The groups there were particularly interested in: 1) UKIP, the Euro elections, the Ukraine; 2) The Jolly Boatman 3) Secondary school places. Title: Re: Dom Raab - Meeting 22 April VF Hall Post by: Juninho on April 28, 2014, 09:12:32 AM Thanks for the update rytheman.
What was said about the jolly boatman ? And also the secondary school places? The latter I believe Thames Ditton junior is going to become a feeder into hinchley wood ? The former - is there anything that can be done about the jolly boatman or is it all steam ahead with the plans they have now ? Thanks for the update rytheman.

The former - is there anything that can be done about the jolly boatman or is it all steam ahead with the plans they have now ? Secondary schools - it seemed the mothers present would very much favour Hinchley Wood, but that that school has a lot of Surbiton/Chessington in its catchment area which cannot be changed. There has been a change in the way Hinchley Wood places are allocated which local parents will be able to post more about. Jolly Boatman - essentially Dominic was saying it had been to (the High?) Court and there was nothing he could change as an MP, other than keep up-to-date with it. Residents' Association Forum | Powered by SMF 1.0.7.
