Title: Water jump on church path

Does anyone know who is responsible for maintaining the path that links Church Walk to Summer Road through the churchyard?

The big puddle that develops half way down when it rains seems to be getting worse. Given the amount of use the path receives from visitors, residents and workers I thought it might be a worthy recipient of Peter Hickman's discretionary funds?

Good suggestion. The path from Summer Rd to Church Walk through the churchyard is heavily used. There is a church committee that looks after maintenance in the churchyard, but perhaps Peter can help via SCC . I know he follows the forum.

What happened to Cameron's big society? TD could be a model village

Can't church walk residents / others just make a sump hole or drab water into gardens

great idea, maybe we could all turn out and dig up the speed humps too ?

Meanwhile OT: Peter reports that that particular path is not a publicly owned right of way and maintenance is, as I had thought, the responsibility of the church. It's open to them to seek help if necessary.

Thanks, Admin. Would they be eligible for Local Committee capital funding for the work via Peter?

Last year I read that the Sea Scouts managed to get £3,500 for new windows from this pot!

I would rather approach the church with a possible solution.

Unfortunately sitings for sump holes are already occupied by past residents.

I meant to post up on this as I saw someone addressing this last weekend I believe.

Not been on the path since it rained (since it was fixed) but I reckon it might be sorted now?
