The Co-Op management has achieved its aim of opening its new store on Hampton Court Way prior to Christmas, to catch some of the seasonal trade.

Local residents were initially disconcerted to see the shop trading hours displayed were outside those agreed in January 2015 (7am-10pm Mon-Sat and 9am-7pm Sundays and Bank Holidays - Planning Application 2014/2929).

Weston Green Councillors Ruth Bruce and Tannia Shipley moved quickly to alert the Elmbridge Planning Department Enforcement Team and the shop is now trading at the approved times only.  Most of the signage giving incorrect timings has been covered up and officers from the Enforcement Team are liaising with the Co-Op management and closely monitoring the situation.
