As an aside, this is a useful site for looking at performance of your train journey over time

www.recenttraintimes.co.uk

These are the Thames Ditton-WAT January Am and PM Peaks:
THDamPeak
THDpmPeak

These are the Surbiton-WAT January Am and PM Peaks:
SURamPeak
SURpmPeak

As you can see, the numbers are pretty poor - often services have < 20% arriving on time.

As a reminder, the Wessex Route Draft Consultation closes in a couple of days. You can make comments by emailing the following email address: WessexRouteStudy at networkrail dot co dot uk. Please see the following link: Wessex Route . You can register your support for improvements to the Thames Ditton/Hampton Court service.

The key points are:

1. Conditional output Reference CO14 “To provide a minimum of 3 or 4tph for stations within 30 miles of central London from Thames Ditton and Hampton Court
page 96

2. Table 5.12 Assessment of Option 7a, 7b and 7c: Improving Main Line suburban connectivity within the end-CP5 capability of the network, in a manner which does not increase the overall number of off-peak services operating into London Waterloo - this is essentially running a shuttle service between Hampton Court and Surbiton to achieve an extra 2tph - this could be done within the current planning period.

3. Crossrail 2 project

4. Options for a 5th/6th line from Surbiton to Clapham Junction

5. Improving the signalling so that we can have more capacity - rolling out ETSC level 3 with ATO - these signal upgrades allow more capacity on existing lines.
