My understanding of the Free School process is that the sponsors of the project, in this case the team at CFS - plus others, suggest a number of possible sites. Normally this is four or more. The sponsors don't get involved in any way in the discussions with land owners, this is the Dept. of Education's job.

Was that the one rumoured for Imber Court? I seem to remember that it was only proposed in theory and no discussions had actually taken place with the site owners.

New Free School in Thames Ditton/East Molesey was created by Highways Contact
Earlier today the Department of Education released the list of new Free Schools. The application submitted for a hi-school in East Molesey/Thames Ditton was unsuccessful. No reasons are given in the Department of Education's decision.
