Having reviewed the Surrey CC Planned Maintenance Schedule for 2015/16 I see that both Basingfield Road and Aragon Avenue are due to have the footways resurfaced anytime soon. Long overdue I hasten to add. The question I have is – are likely to throw down these new surfaces in the ghastly black tarmac or can we expect them to keep in tradition of the red cinder style paths our residential streets are accustomed to. I do very much hope its the later as this would be in keeping with the local environs, that said no doubt the same old tired excuse will be rolled out as the characterless black stuff is no doubt a cheaper solution and fit for purpose.
Is there any opportunity to lobby Surrey CC for maintaining the status quo.
