Enigma Orchestra concert coming soon
Did you know we have a high quality orchestra just a stones throw away - in Hinchley Wood. Enigma is an innovative orchestra based in Elmbridge, drawing professional, semi-professional, London conservatoire musicians and the best amateur players together to put on occasional high-quality concerts. The next concert is on Saturday 25th June at St Christopher's Church in Claygate Lane, Hinchley Wood. To read more about Enigma, go to: www.enigmamusic.org.uk/
After months of being cooped up, Enigma invites you to a musical celebration of freedom:
We open with Butterworth’s beautiful lyrical idyll and homage to the beauty of the countryside: The Banks of Green Willow. We then showcase the ethereal harp with Glière’s glorious and luscious Harp Concerto featuring our soloist Aisha Palmer. After the interval we take flight first with the soaring Cantus Arcticus by Finnish composer Rautavaara taking us on a journey with migrating swans before Respighi’s The Birds brings us back full circle with his evocation of four different birds ending with the familiar sound of the countryside, the cuckoo.
Tickets are £15 for adults and £5 for those in full-time education, and can be purchased from the box office on 020 8398 9352 or online at www.wegottickets.com/event/545388 (booking fee).
