A warning from Surrey Police Borough Commander, Bert Dean :

In Elmbridge we have seen a few burglaries in the past couple of days at houses where the owners are actually residing in Care Homes, in hospital or being cared for away from home.  It may be circumstantial as the houses look unoccupied, but we would want our communities to be informed.

We are appealing to friends, relatives or neighbours where they know someone who is living away at this moment to look out for their property, check it is secure, and if you need further advice visit:
