THAMES DITTON VILLAGE SIGN - INAUGURATION

 
Thames Ditton residents celebrated the inauguration of their new village sign on Saturday 8th September when former Surrey County Councillor Peter Hickman cut the ribbon and declared it open.

Thames Ditton & Weston Green Residents' Association commissioned the village sign as an enhancement to the identity of the village and in recognition of Peter Hickman's service to the community as our County Councillor for 12 years and to Thames Ditton for over 40 years.

The new sign, situated at the entrance to Thames Ditton on Giggs Hill Green, was designed and made at Burrows Lea Forge in Shere and represents the heritage of Thames Ditton village with the river Thames bridge and swan and the historic St. Nicholas Church.
