Surrey County Council Highways Department have advised of the following roadworks and associated road closure, commencing Wednesday 8 December, at the northern end of Weston Green, by the entrance to Esher College

D6906 Weston Green, Thames Ditton
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2021

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D6906 Weston Green, Thames Ditton that extends from its junction with D6967 Weston Avenue, to the northern end of D6906 Weston Green. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach/Kelly Group to carry out poling and/or cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 8 December 2021.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. There is no applicable diversion route due to D6906 Weston Green, being a cul-de-sac however access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
