The Nature & Climate Festival is coming next weekend, 10-12th October
This is the fourth celebration of our local natural surroundings and a chance to focus on the steps we can take to help protect it. Combining family fun, entertainment and learning opportunities, there is something for everyone to enjoy, and most of it is free!
Highlights of the weekend include:
- Plants for Health & Wellbeing - a talk by garden designer GillHall with a display by Squires of Long Ditton.
- The Natural History of Elmbridge & its Commons - a talk by Dave Page who worked for Elmbridge Borough Council’s countryside team for 33 years and knows our habitats and their flora and fauna intimately.
- Tech take back with Relove Technology - donate your old mobile phones, laptops, tablets and games consoles and raise money for our chosen charities.
- A Foraging Walk - learn about the food for free on our doorsteps in nature’s larder.
- Pop-up Repair Cafe with the Walton Repair Cafe.
- Launch of our FREE sustainable living handbook, Live Life Better, which contains hints and tips gathered from the previous three festivals.
- Music from We Are the Voice children’s environmental choir and our own former RA Chair, Graham Cooke.
Most events are free of charge and take place at Vital Village, Mercer Close, Thames Ditton, KT7 0BS.
